"DEATH CLAIMS HIM
John Embich Dies Near Scotland - Strangled While Coughing.

Mr. John Embich, one of Green township's best known and most respected citizens, died suddenly at his residence one mile east of Scotland this morning at about five o'clock. He had been feeling unwell lately, but when visited by his physician yesterday was unusually bright and cheerful. About two o'clock this morning he was seized with a violent coughing spell, which continued until nearly five o'clock when he died.
Mr. Embich was born in Greenvillage in 1816 and was in his seventy-fourth year. When a young man he learned the fulling trade and worked at it for five years. In 1851 he married Eliza Jane Glass whom he survived by nearly two years. His later years were spent in farming, his chosen profession. He moved to the farm which he now owns in 1873. Mr. Embich was at his death an active member of the Lutheran church at Greenvillage, uniting with that body in 1863. His remains will be interred there Thursday morning at 11 o'clock.
Mr. John Embich is survived by four children. They are Augustus, who resides on what is known as the Kyner farm in Southampton township; George, Mrs. Emma Ott and Mathias, all of whom have resided at home. George Embich and Mrs. Emma Ott were married about Christmas and intended removing to farms near their home in a short time. In Mr. Embich's death his children lose a most kind-hearted father, the community a respected citizen and neighbor and his church a valued member."

"Lee Vernon Biggs was born Nov. 25, 1919 and passed away June 11, 1921 at the age of 18 months and 17 days. Little Lee was of a cheerful disposition and was always smiling. He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, 5 brothers and a sister and a host of friends. We had a little treasure once, he was our joy and pride, we loved him, ah, perhaps too well, for soon he slept and died. All is dark within our dwelling, lonely are our hearts today, for the one we loved so dearly has forever passed away."
